You’ve got the venue. You’ve got the bops.
But do you make your disco fantastic? It’s easier than you think!
Read on to find out the secret to a successful school disco.
School dances are a mainstay of the school year. Kids get a chance to dress up, have fun, and enjoy time together outside of the classroom or sports field. No pressure; only fun!
But these days it can be difficult to make a school dance feel special and really engage the kids. These days, it feels like kids are glued to their devices. With on demand music available from phones and tablets, making a disco experience amazing means adding something extra.
Prepare to be amazed.
And host the ULTIMATE Disco.
To start, you’ll need Silent Disco headsets.
When you’re hosting a silent disco, everyone gets a headset. These go over the ears and play your music.
It’s very inclusive! Kids can change the volume on their headsets individually. If the music is too loud, they can turn it down. If it isn’t loud enough, they can turn it up without disturbing the other children.
In each Silent Disco set you get hire one, two, or three transmitters. Sync these up with smart devices with Bluetooth. You’ll need a separate smart device per transmitter.
Then open up your music app and click “play” on your best disco playlist.
With one transmitter, you have one channel. This means that everyone will hear the same song.
If you add extra transmitters, you unlock more channels. Just like a radio station, kids can switch between the channels to listen to different songs.
They pick what they dance to! Listeners can switch between the channels by clicking a button. It’s easy!
Included in your silent disco hire is a microphone. When you talk into it, all the kids get the message! It plays directly into their headset.
With the microphone, you can easily give out instructions.
Silent Disco headsets glow. This helps create an awesome disco feeling. Everyone dancing around with these headsets creates a wave of dynamic lighting.
But that’s not all.
Meet the secret to an epic school dance: Glow Pods.
Just like the name suggests these are pods that glow. Spread these around your school hall to create an instant world of wonder!
Setting up these glow pods is quick and easy. Switch them on with a button press, then set them down anywhere. When the dance is over, go around and switch them off.
No complicated installation needed.
Now here’s the genius of glow pods... When you step on them, they change colour. From red to blue to green to yellow – kids tap the pod with their foot to change the colour.
This means the lighting is interactive. Kids can make the space their own.
Glow Pods add that little bit of pizzaz that will have everyone clambering to play, dance, and participate.
The awesome thing about Silent Disco & Glow Pods? They can be delivered straight to you anywhere in Australia.
We pack the equipment (headsets, transmitter/s, microphones, and glow pods) into boxes and ship to your school. The shipping is tracked every step of the way and we account for any potential delays by sending the equipment well in advance.
You can expect the delivery approximately 1 week ahead of your event, that way, if anything gets stuck in transit it will still arrive well in time for your event.
No worries. No headache. No fuss.
When arrange for a driver to collect the boxes the business day after your event. That means if you had your school dance Thursday night, the driver will come collect it on Friday.
All you need to do is stick the return labels (provided in your package) on the boxes and off it goes back to us.
