More Activities for Laser Tag Day!

Plan out a Laser Tag Day!

When you book in laser tag, we recommend splitting everyone up into groups:

The preps play first.

Then the Year 1s & Year 2s

Next come the Year 3s & 4s

Finally the Year 5s & 6s

That way everyone gets a turn. It does means that for some of the day, the kids aren't playing laser tag!

Here are some ideas to keep the fun going all day.

1. Make a Rocket Ship

It's time for some arts & crafts. You can try this with papier-mache or with air-dry clay.

Have the kids imagine what an awesome rocket ship might look like!

Then it's time to get crafting.

2. Design Their Own Laser Tag Arena

Get out tons of paper + colour pencils or markers. It's time to get creative.

This is a unique brain challenge. Have the kids imagine what kind of laser tag arena they might design.

Is it outside with lots of trees? Is it inside with lasers and flashing lights? Is it on the moon!?

Whatever they dream of, it can go in the most epic laser tag arena around!

3. Watch a Space Documentary

Since the beginning of time, humans have been fascinated by space!

To this day, scientists from around the world study the skies. Looking up at the stars is a unifying experience.

For a calm activity, set up a documentary about space. Plenty of educational channels have documentaries about the solar system or how stars form. Inspire their curiosity for the world around them with a fun space docco to watch.

4. Learn Morse Code

Morse code is a simple language made of dots and lines that can spell out English words.

It's a great way for kids to send messages to their friends!

You can teach the kids how to write "Hello" and "How are you?"

Then challenge them to write their own messages.

Stick the message into a hat and have each kid fish out a message.

Then they can practice reading the message!

5. Add to the Laser Tag Field

By the time it's the laser tag day, you probably have a playing arena set up. But there is always room for more places to hide!

Cardboard boxes are a great option. Have the kids paint a box of their own. They can use sparkly or neon paints. Then you can duct tape the boxes together to create a box tower or wall. Once the paint has dried, you can move these boxes into the playing area.

The kids will love seeing their creations scattered around the field.

And the day is done...

That was five activities for you to run for the kids when they aren't playing laser tag.

If you try out any of these activities, we sure to snap a pic and share it with us. We also love seeing your laser tag maze set ups, and the kids having fun playing the laser tag of course!
